FACT/SF will commission one new work, offering a selected choreographer a $1,500 stipend, 50 rehearsal hours with FACT/SF Company Members, comprehensive production support, robust dialogue and four performances in the ODC Theater, Oct 29 – Nov 1, 2015.

JuMP aims to provide and support all the necessary components a choreographer needs to ‘just make a piece.’ FACT/SF recognizes that for a choreographer to work, many things are essential. These include: time, space, talent, money, short and long-term planning, peer support, mentor support, community dialogue and audience feedback.

JuMP seeks a local (currently residing in one of the 9 Bay Area counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, Sonoma) contemporary choreographer of promise, who has not yet received great opportunity. Artists are encouraged to self-identity into or out of this category.

Please review the application for more details.
