Lisa Beck is lead dancer, choreographer, drummer, and singer for Panzumo and Konkoba performance ensembles. Her music and dance training began at a very young age, but her love of West African music and dance began 7 1/2 years ago soon after she moved to Santa Barbara from Minnesota. Lisa has trained in West African dance at dance camps around the country, and workshops in Los Angeles and in her local Santa Barbara. Lisa and her partner, Budhi Harlow, traveled to Senegal in 2000, and she plans to visit and study drum and dance in Guinea in 2009. She currently teaches dance classes in Santa Barbara and Ventura, CA.  <Make Smaller
