I met a social worker for refugee house who told me that not all asylum seekers are motivated to learn German or integrate in the German society. The entitlement mentality is crazy. So don't be one of them and learn German starting today, don't be ashamed to speak broken German, nobody would have progressed if they're hindered by shame.
It will open doors to a myriad of opportunities. You might want to check out these free online courses. OP, first of all let me express my deepest sympathies. No one should ever have to experience the horrors you have already seen in your short life. We live in a terribly broken world full of greed and hatred, and that overwhelms me with sadness every time I think about it. I pray regularly as I'm sure you do too that these things will start to improve, and we will start to see more love and kindness in this world.
I commend you on your determination on wanting to learn German and to create a plan to build a good future for yourself, and to give back to a country which has offered you help. I too recommend learning German as soon as possible as your first step. If you have made some German friends in your area, perhaps ask if they would be willing to help you practise even basic phrases for everyday life.
Every little bit helps, and you'll pick up a lot really quickly, just by doing what you can to expose yourself to the language, even without a structured course though I still definitely recommend taking advantage of that. Make a plan for the long term- You have residency for 3 years here. That's plenty of time to achieve a lot, and you don't need to do it all right away I know it can feel like you have to at One step at a time. If you qualify for financial assistance, I'd take advantage of that, so you don't have to worry about getting by while you improve your German and therefore your employment options.
