Robert Moses’ Kin (RMK) presents the world premiere of SILT, the Company’s 20th Anniversary Home Season, for four performances only, May 14-17 at the YBCA Forum in San Francisco.
Artistic Director, Robert Moses describes the new work, saying, “SILT is a dance of relationships and the silt of our shared racial, social and economic histories, which exist alongside emotional sediment. When seeded it creates new life and our knowing and unknown influence in others lives.” He explains that the backdrop for SILT is a series of questions: What is it like to live an overly examined life? What is the nature of privacy? Do we bestow privilege in our lives or is it taken?
The evening will feature music by Michael Manring and Moses.
The performance will be an immersive, gallery-like experience. Audiences are invited to explore the Forum space from every angle as dances happen throughout the room. Please note that chaired seating will be limited and only available for the elderly and people with disabilities.
Join us to celebrate our 20 years of passion and dance!
