NANCY EVANS DANCE THEATRE presents WORKS 2015: our fifth season features two one-act premieres. NEDT premieres the first act of Sweet Sorrow, a ZOMBIE BALLET that begins where the tale of Romeo and Juliet ends — in the crypt. Choreographed by guest Leigh Purtill, Sweet Sorrow blends ballet, modern dance and theatre into an intriguing “what if.” The second half of the program is Apartment 6D, choreographed by six company members, with vignettes taking place in the same apartment spanning from the 1940’s to the present day.
Tickets are $20 general/ $15 student/senior/DRC, and may be purchased in advance through PayPal on our website www.nancyevansdancetheatre.com, or at the door. Cash and credit card are accepted. A special Q&A session will take place after the Saturday night performance. Free parking and wheelchair access is available.
“This is the great dance that is happening right here in greater LA. This is the dance that makes you think, makes you stop and wonder about what you value and how you want to be in the world.” Beth Megill, Dancing Poetess.
