Join Benita Bike’s DanceArt for a stimulating and elegant evening of dance on April 23rd. Discover how dances are made and how dance artists train, work, and create. Three dances will be performed, and there will be numerous opportunities for audience members to interact with the artists.
Now in its 34th season, Benita Bike’s DanceArt is known for its nuanced performance and its unusual blending of the sensibilities/music of the past with evocative contemporary movement. The Company will perform its newest dance work Renaissance 5 set to bawdy 16th century drinking music. In addition, the Company will present “In the Garden,” which is accompanied by Finnish vocal music and evokes the life of an ancient lost garden, and the quirky and humorous “Through the Lens.”
