Dancers ages 11+ are invited to spend three weeks with Lake Tahoe Dance Festival collaborators and teachers studying technique and learning repertoire to be performed at the Festival Performances alongside Festival Artists. The three-week intensive is aimed at refining technique while enhancing and promoting artistic growth for participants.
Ballet, pointe, improvisation technique, and modern classes will be offered at two levels. Placement and casting will take place the first day of classes.
Faculty Includes: Constantine Baecher (Royal Danish Ballet, Cross Connection Ballet), Kristina Berger (Erick Hawkins Dance Company), Stephen Straub (Aspen Santa Fe Ballet/Suzanne Farrell Ballet), Christin Hanna (Tahoe Youth Ballet), and more.
Classes will be held Monday-Friday in intermediate and advanced levels. Each day will consist of two technique classes, interchanging Ballet, Improvisational Technique, and Modern. There will also be one repertoire class each day where participants will learn choreography to be performed in the Lake Tahoe Dance Festival main stage performances on July 22 through 24.
Tuition: $750 ($700 if paid by April 1, 2015)
